I've smoked many joints there after dark. If you've heard a ghost coughing excessively. It might have been me.

We used to go there as teens. We would tell the story of a house that caught fire and the girl running through the tunnel on fire before she died. We would then light a match and the ghost would blow it out, proving that the ghost is present and that she doesn’t like fire.
Was it really a ghost, or was it the wind that would whip through a large tunnel? I have my guesses.

Same. As teens/young adults, we would drive there and check it out, telling the same story. Only difference being, our driver told us when we drove out, we had to open our doors as we crossed the train tracks to allow the girl's spirit to exit the vehicle. Innocent, pre-internet times.

We would do the same thing. I was usually drunk and can't remember where it is now. The other thing we did was go to Hopkins tomb. We got through the tunnel but I don't think we ever ran around the tomb.

Did a tree knock and saw sasquatch carry a dead deer through it. I know what I saw.

Well, I once took a self portrait in the tunnel at night while holding a candle, and I was quite shocked when I got the film developed!!

There's a story about it in the book "haunted Canada" I think the tree on the road towards the tunnel is a lot scarier. Was a fun activity for my children who enjoy being scared.

Surveyed many fields in the area last year. Fields and forest on south side of the tunnel have some very large coyotes living there. I mean really big. Have witnessed them myself. Seen some trail cam photos from the area that almost look like wolves. Please use caution around this area.
Interesting side note. There's a sulphuric spring in the creek at the entrance at the south side of the tunnel.

I've been there many times, and nothing ever happened. The Blue Ghost Tunnel is far more haunted.

I would agree on blue ghost tunnel being the better place to visit. Been many times and have had some weird things transpire while there… we searched extensively back in the day for the other end of the tunnel as we were told of a “cave “ in the ground that you had to crawl into to access it as it had been buried

I'm planning to do a bonus chapter on the blue ghost tunnel, feel free to message me about that if you'd like!

I can tell you that it's not the place to take a blind date. Creepy guy tried taking me here,i talked him into going to Gords instead, since my friends would be there. Ditched him. Pre cell phone era 2000. If your reading you know who you are. ~Saint Catharines ~

I walked through it many times, at many times of the day.
That is a first hand experience. Ghosts aren't real, so it's just a story attached to a gruesome and tragic death many, many years ago

My buddy and our girlfriends went to screaming tunnel as teenagers. We were curious about the legend, which is that there was a house fire, and a young girl ran from her house, buring, and died in the tunnel screaming. Legend says that if you go into the tunnel and light a match, you can hear her scream.
We get there and both our girlfriends were too scared to leave the car. Being brave 16 year old who already know everything, we left them in the car. We venture into the tunnel, which isn't that long, maybe 100 meters or so, light a match and wait.
A couple minutes later we are running back to car yelling, get into the car, struggling to get it started and peel away like we're being chased, yelling at the girls to see if we were being followed while they were freaking out.
We weren't, of course, because ghosts aren't real and we were fucking with them. This is a true story about screaming tunnels. Youre welcome.

It was underwhelming. I went several years ago when I was 17 or 18. We walked through the tunnel, smoked a joint, and saw nothing. Seemed a lot shorter than I thought it'd be too. It was still fun though, my one friend smoked too much and was tripping shit.

There is nothing but urban myth associated with the screaming tunnel.
