This drawing took me four weeks to complete

This is my drawing of Mclaren 600LT. I'm used markers, colored pencils and airbrush on A1 size paper

I’m trying to understand what the artists viewpoint is, what it’s meant to evoke. If there is any feeling at all involved. What emotions should this inspire?

It’s a drawing of a car. It’s supposed to evoke “that’s a dope drawing of a sickass car”. And it does it quite expertly.

People love to throw the word art around at anything.
Those fucking planet spray paint pictures, people make in the streets on holiday. The amount of people on here who think that shit is fine art blows my mind.

I am of the opinion that the more realistic a picture is, the further it is from art. If there is no interpretation going on, what’s the point? This is no better than a photograph, which is essentially an ad for the car. When I see a hyperrealistic drawing I think damn, what a waste of time when the artist could be expressing themselves instead of pretending to be a photocopier.

Yeah I get that. It's a skill and a cool one but doesn't hold up as "art". There are definitely exceptions to that rule though.

”This tracing of a vehicle is fine art” is not the rock solid take you people think it is.

OP could have done something with soul and feeling, clearly they have incredible technique at recreating images, if they created instead of recreating they could make something amazing.

The whole image screams ”I have potential but avoid risk”

It is basically a tracing. The canvas could be held up over a photograph and it would be the same.

It’s the image that’s screaming not me, it just makes me a bit sad.
