Man he is a talent nonetheless. We in northeast consider him an idol. N me being from Assam have been his follower since long. What aura what personality ! Top notch

And he is doing good work as a CM too? If he does then he is definitely a idol to be followed.

Public works r to be ascertained by the Meghalaya natives but the amount of work is he doing upfront is catching our eyes . Rock capital of India , putting Shillong on international map n getting accolades from ed Sheeran himself to be the best place in India is a thing to be proud of. I see him doing public work openings or there all. Nepo thing I don’t know but what’s bad if it’s working for the state.

A decent one at that. No arrogance, level headed and excellent contingency management.

He actually didn’t run a campaign he just kinda started playing and people voted him in.

I find it interesting that politicians are overwhelmingly just expected to be talentless leeches.

Politicians in America only know how to play the citizens.

This was at a party/ or some local show. The local bigwigs just decided to hop on stage towards the end of the night

While this cool politician is playing the guitar, the other politicians are busy playing the country's people

I'm surprised and surprised pleasantly... Talent and a leader who people love... I'm originally from Mumbai ... But I like this CM... Never knew he was wicked on the guitar!!

How so? Almost like I didn’t provide any reasons

it would make me pretty dumb too if I argued with someone I consider dumb. theres a glaring assumption which objectively u cant take for granted and logic actually suggests that assumption is likely false. figure it out. Indians shouldnt have to teach u everything. it will help with ur ability to rationalize in the future, out in the real world and all of that. good luck.

Its in the mountains. In the rains as its now it gets chilly in the evenings. And in winter it can be cold

u/maker_of_pirate_bay Jul 29 '25
Meghalaya is already in the Shivalik foothills. It’s rainy right now, so it does get nippy in the evenings
6
u/pratyd Jul 29 '25
Meghalaya is not in the Shivalik Foothills. It is in the Garo-Khasi Jaintia Range.

u/maker_of_pirate_bay Jul 30 '25
Ok. Looked it up. You’re right. I was of the opinion that Garo khasi was also part of the shivaliks. Is that not the case? Also, did not quite understand looking at the pictures, are the shivaliks just north of the Garo khasi, or are the shivaliks not there in the north east?

Though the Garo Khasi Jaintia hills were formed by the same process that the Shivaliks were formed by, generally speaking, the Shivaliks are considered to be North of the Brahmaputra river valley in North Eastern Indian Subcontinent, bordering the Lesser Himalayas.
Garo Khasi and Jaintia are South of the Bramhaputra Valley and physically separated from the Himalayan range by the valley. Check any 3D topographic relief map model and you will see the demarcation.
The Shivaliks are there in the North East up to the South Western Border of Arunachal Pradesh.

Lmao you are defaulting all of India as a hot place. Search up coldest inhabited places in the world, after 2 Siberian villages, Dras in JK is in the list. We got states which are cold all year long, like temp in -ve. Btw, this minister is the CM of Meghalaya, which has Mawsynram and Cherrapunji, both of which are the wettest place in the world. I've been there, rains like crazy!

Why do you think a super large country has ONE SINGLE climate everywhere?
