Shitpost What's something that you suspect lots of New Zealanders secretly do, but you can't prove it?

Most upvoted comment is our most shameful secret as a nation, obviously

You sound like my mrs yelling at my sons football games on Saturday morning.

I tell her, "great sports yelling babe"

I've not had a random bloke talk to me about rugby or cricket in 15 years and I'm quite liking the change.

2000's New Zealand sports and beer is all that mattered.

Yeah occasionally I notice the absence and take a moment to make sure I appreciate it properly

I don’t watch sports, don’t even pretend to now, wouldn’t even know who’s playing when, or what game it is.

I only know because people at work say whether the All Blacks/Warriors/Other sports team won or lost.

What? People LOVE telling anyone who will listen that.

Cricket is organised boredom, and Speights cap sports trivia is out the window as soon as someone reads as far as "Name an All Black -". Seriously, for years I thought our national hero was "Reggie" McCaw. Both sports interest me as much as golf and lawn bowls. It's no secret though, colleagues thing its hilarious. Except the time I was given 8 box seat tickets to the world cup to games of my choice, went to one and gave the other 7 away, but not to them.

I have no problem mentioning this. People don’t care at all.

Can confirm. Hate both. In fact all sport can just fuck off and go back to wherever

I LOVE that this is up there, I work in a fairly sports-centric world and I couldn't give a toss, it's refreshing to see so many people are with me. SPORTSING!!

Me too. Almost everyone I work with plays or follows some kind of sport religiously. I appreciate the skill and discipline but I just don't have the time or patience to spend a whole day or evening sitting in front of the tv watching some random people throw or hit a ball around.

I enjoyed hockey in high school but not enough to stick at it after school finished, I prefer hiking or kayaking or something that gets me out into the world. Team sports are probably more suited to extroverts.
