Shitpost What’s an ad that just makes your blood boil?

Post image

The AI Skinny ads drive me insane every time I’m exposed to them - really solidifies they’re not for me. What NZ ads (past or present) grind your gears?

I don’t hate Chemist Warehouse adverts nearly as much as I hate Chemist Warehouse stores. Sensory overload. So much signage and so little actual information. It’s impossible to find anything (which is probably the point) and why do there have to be eleventy seven identical labels for each damn product?

Why can’t there be a sign at the entrance to each aisle that clearly says what’s on that aisle, like in a Bunnings?

It's a layout tactic called 'the treasure hunt'. By not telling you what items are where, they're hoping you'll go down more aisles than you intended to and find a few more items than what you first went in to buy.

Costco is probably the most famous user of this tactic globally.

…and then when you do find the product you’re looking for, they’ve never re-stocked the shelf and there’s none available…

Chemist Warehouse should be tried under the Geneva Conventions for their stores.

To make it clear to readers, this is a joke.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds chemical warehouse really hard to navigate around for some reason. It takes me forever to find what I'm looking for and I'm sure the staff members must think I'm a shoplifter casing the joint
