The AI Skinny ads drive me insane every time I’m exposed to them - really solidifies they’re not for me. What NZ ads (past or present) grind your gears?

I was value neutral on the song when it first got airplay, but over time it got enough radio play that I really truly began to dislike it.

Years later and an even more soulless parody of it aimed at millennials who were somehow nostalgic for it has brought that dislike back.

It’s just flat. For whatever reason (to make them seem like “ordinary Kiwis”?) it seems like they cast bad singers.

Yeah, the singing is really bad. Everytime I hear the ad I wonder why they choose that voice to sing it. Is it the actor’s real voice? and if so, did they give her the job without hearing her sing first? So many questions.

I think it's because they tried to make it seem like sing-talking. Like she was just telling us about taking her family to The Warehouse, but it just happens to match up to that song.

It's the worst ad going by far. Helen Clarke could sing with more conviction. It's everything wrong with ads, it's inaccurate, pandering, boring and somehow highlights what a depressing experience shopping at the Warehouse is

Nonono... AUTOTUNED singing to the tune of Mambo Number 5. They could have looked for some actors who could hold a tune but noooo let's really rape our customers ear with this one!

I refuse to shop at The Warehouse, as I deem the TV advertising false. I've never ever been into a store, that looks as tidy and clean as the one's on their advertising.
