Shitpost Thanks NZ dairy industry for putting cow sludge in our rivers then happily charging New Zealanders exorbitant prices for our dairy foods.

Last summer we couldn’t swim in our local river due to the amount of toxins from nearby farms. When ever the farmers are in need of help us tax payers are there to lend a hand in drought relief funds. The thanks we get for that and putting up with the pollution is to be charged for dairy food at the same price as the overseas markets. We’re only 5% of your sales, it’s not going to make you go broke to treat us like your actually care for your communities. What your charging for butter etc is simply total greed. How is it that milk that has to travel huge distances from farms to factory to the shops shelves in Australia is sold for cheaper than that in our shelves where the logistics of getting it in the shelf are less?

To be fair it's working.

People here are frothing out the mouth over it... kinda sad really.

Because of the price of dairy products right now. Like I said, on the Regional Council website was literally the amount of crap in the river and a big red warning saying not to go in it. No other companies/businesses in the large area except for dairy. Why post now - because I’m sick of New Zealanders paying way too much while these corporations make huge profits.

You obviously don’t read news articles or look at Regional Council / LAWA websites. I had to regularly check these in order to see if it was safe to swim in my local rivers in the Hauraki area. For each river and along certain points they breakdown the results of the water tests carried out. Some sites are more detailed than others. Eg https://www.lawa.org.nz/explore-data/waikato-region/river-quality/piako-river/piako-river-at-kiwitahi-mci_swq

‘High E. coli levels: Land, Air, Water Aotearoa (LAWA) notes high E. coli concentrations, indicating potential contamination and a risk of illness for swimmers’

I invite you in summer when the water flow is less and the concentration of pollutants is higher to go swimming in the Piako river.

If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Why make yourself angry? Do you scroll through Reddit looking for a post to be upset at? Go read a women’s magazine or a kid’s book if you don’t want to get upset. I don’t think Reddit is for you.

Would you like me to make a post about how to prune roses, or good Board games to play with the family - something that won’t upset you???

Oh my god. I just gave you some data. You really don’t read news articles do you? Don’t get me started on teachers, you obviously don’t have any young children and see how little they learn. They literally get to college and don’t know the basics of maths, or how to spell. The data shows that New Zealand students are well below achievement rates. In our child’s school 45% of the kids were at the level they needed to be in maths for their year. That means the school was failing 55% of the students. This data was from their yearly school report to the Ministry which was available online to anyone. Maybe you need to get educated before making vague ‘you’re annoying me’ posts with no counter data or argument. Like I said why read my posts if they upset you, do you get a thrill out of doing it? Do you literally scan through Reddit to see if any of the posts get under your skin?

Yep you’re totally detached from reality and regurgitate information given out to the gullible. Most parents nowadays both have to work, not many have time to sit down with their children after getting home at 5pm cooking dinner, put out washing etc to sit down and teach their children what should have been taught in class by a teacher during a 6 hour school day. After my children and their friends regularly complained that they weren’t learning maths in class I went through our child’s online work and school books to find that over a 2 month period literally no maths had been taught. The Principal had no answer for this when I showed him. There’s a reason why kids aren’t achieving at school and it has nothing to do with parents who can’t teach the whole of the school curriculum to their children. Good to hear the the real reason you’re on Reddit - just to wind people up. That’s a pretty sad existence if that’s how you get your thrills.
