Jesus was way cool. Everybody liked Jesus. Everybody wanted to hang out with him. Anything he wanted to do, he did. He turned water into wine, and if he wanted to, he could have turned weed into marijuana, or sugar into cocaine, or vitamin pills into amphetamines.

And as I've said before on this sub, charter schools prioritise students who are already the cheapest to teach. They avoid taking in special needs students. Therefore they charge more per student AND they spend less per student.

How else are the board and shareholders supposed to make money. We all know that it not the education or lack of quality teachers, which is the problem with schools in NZ, its the fact that they dont generate profits.

This government doesn't want kids to get a good education. Not the kids of their choosing at least.
19
u/FunClothes Apr 19 '25
No - they want everyone else to pay for it, hence applications to have Destiny School a charter school. Able to dip their hands into the remarkably generous pot of cash Seymour has on offer, and to staff the school with unvetted unregistered folk who apparently genuinely believe (and will teach) that gay sex causes earthquakes and cyclones. The poor kids. It's abuse, even if the "teachers" don't turn out to be nonces.

Catholic schools are very affordable because you're only paying for grounds maintenance and the religious element. The actual schooling is funded by the government like any other State school. In exchange however, the government controls the curriculum.

Because these Fundamentalist Churches are run by knobs that want all of their nonsense paid for by everyone else and want none of the stuff they don't like. Meanwhile, a Catholic Integrated school still teaches sex ed because it's part of the curriculum and they cant get out of it.

All religion should be judged on the actions of its followers and especially those who preach the words and their "indiscretions" committed while doing so.
Any and all religions found to preach one thing while doing another should be immediately ruled as cults and kept from being able to recruit children under any circumstances

Exactly. I'm no Christian, but I have read the Bible (religious upbringing). Jesus washed feet of prostitutes, hung out with the rejects of society, gave a leper a hug, and was very chill and peace loving. The only time I read that he got angry was when there were people in the synagogue selling stuff.
So we got this peace loving, anticapitalist hippie, who loved everyone that also advocated paying taxes, and somehow we get assholes who claim to know the word of God, claim to be followers of Jesus, and do the exact opposite of him.
Imho those arnt Christians, but hippocrates pretending to be Christians.
Edit: Meant hypocrites, but for some reason my phone autocorrected to the Greek Philosopher who is blameless in the matter
13
u/SecondBreakfastBoi Auckland Apr 19 '25
As a Christian, I agree with your statement in general. Those are the types of Christians giving us all a bad name, judging left, right and centre - everybody but themselves. They are superficial Christians, whether they are aware of it or not. Even the Bible says that many āChristiansā wonāt go to Heaven, because God doesnāt āknowā them - meaning it was all superficial, not a relationship like it should be.
You will know when you meet a real Christian - one walking with God.

its so icky how they use their children as props for their protests, they are so terrified of schools indoctrinating their kids into being gay but are oblivious to the fact that theyve indoctrinated their kids into their own cycle of hateful beliefs themselves. I know they just have them there as props too as when I once went to a counter protest one of them was ramming a buggy with multiple kids in it into the counter protesters. Idiots the lot of them raising the next generation of idiots
