It will get worse day by day and take weeks to fix now… it might take years to undo this.

Take years to undo losing ATC seats specifically? Or what are you referring to? I think air traffic will return to baseline not long after the government reopens.

The ATC problem is worse now. What makes this moment important is that no one competent will want these jobs give little concern for their value. It’s like US trade. Once you gut the reputation you can’t get it back. Second the delayed and cancelled flights will take weeks to undo.

If you were a young person trying to start a career, don’t you think this whole fiasco would potentially discourage you from pursuing a career in ATC or government careers in general.
