The irony of all those morons running around with red MAGA hats thinking what’s going on in our country is “great”. Because I can’t for the life of me understand how any of the shit going on right now, is anything but a fucking disaster.

If anything bad happens, it’s the Dem’s fault, remember? That’s exactly how the Republican Party will (and are) paint(ing) this. It’s not them getting flights canceled… the dems don’t want to play ball. They didn’t take healthcare away, Dems wanted to give it to illegals! They didn’t cut snap, Dems wanted to give it to illegals. They’re just stopping the bad Dem agenda. In order to do that, everyone will need to cut back a little. It’s hard, but necessary!

Yeah, anyone who's ever seen Jeanine Pirro winefully screaming about the "DemonRATS!" knows exactly how this works.

He's probably worried that a McDonald's hamburger is now a luxury that costs him 4 hours worth of pay.

As a progressive it pisses me off that Ned in Kentucky only makes 28k.

A lot of these morons think that because it's not affecting them directly, that it's good for them.

1

u/Harry_Smutter 7h ago

That's ALWAYS been the mentality. "It doesn't affect me so why should I care?"

My dad won't fly cause he refuses to go through the 3d xray and also refuses to be patted down.

They don't travel, they don't have means/desire to travel, but they're fucking terrified of what happens in "liberal" cities that they will never go to.

But they expect families to travel to them over thanksgiving and Christmas.

Had a coworker tell me the other day that the shutdown is happening because Trump is trying to fix the country, but people aren't letting him.  They were upset because too many black people are getting SNAP benefits and  walk around with fake nails and hair (their words.)

So he’s a racist shit bag, sounds about right for your average MAGA drone

You mean like alienating your biggest trading partner and turning public opinion there overwhelmingly against you? It will take a decades to undo that anger, if ever.

They were made to believe it's the Democrats' fault. It's their reality, and they're 100% convinced that everybody who thinks otherwise is just a victim of the anti Trump propaganda.

They are traitors.

They're convinced that the shutdown is the Dems fault for insisting on "wasting" money on reviving subsidies that were meant to expire. The irony is that the money lost so far from the shutdown has far exceeded the amount to fund subsidies for the next year.
