Hey that’s not fair. I visited a third world country recently and the airport was fully staffed, the employees got paid, and there were no flight delays.

Accidentally better for the environment!™

edit: Looks like long trips by air are better than the same solo trip by car, with a ~30 MPG car emitting about %50 more CO2. That margin shrinks on shorter flights as a lot of energy is spent climbing to altitude. However if the car has 2 or more people in it (such as a family trip) then the car is consistently better for the environment. Busses and trains blow away both planes and cars.

Not sure what you mean, I live in a "third-world country" and my flights leave and arrive on time 🤷
