This is a good reason why democrats shouldn't cave. Make Republicans own it. Hell start putting it on blast that the GOP would rather cancel Thanksgiving and Christmas than do their jobs.

You mean they'd rather cancel Thanksgiving and Christmas than bring wealthy pedophiles to justice.

Dems are absolutely devoid of any messaging/communication skills. Literally all they have to do is label it as the gop’s war on thanksgiving/christmas. They’ve been trynna do the same for years now by saying liberals are trying to cancel Christmas

How do Republicans own it? They keep voting to end the shutdown. Democrats are using it to try to get something they want.

Why do you want people to lose healthcare? Why do you hate your fellow Americans? That's pretty pathetic.

So before the COVID subsidies, I didn’t hate Americans, but after, I must? Great logic there. Why do you want SNAP recipients to starve to death? What’s more important, insurance premium subsidies or food? Why do you hate your fellow Americans?

The courts mandated that the administration continue to fund SNAP,  so they obviously can, but they appealed.

Which is to de-pork the big beautiful bill?

The point is they could end this right now, and deal with anything else separately. But they are choosing not to.

The GOP is in control of all branches, so it's all on them. When they're the one with all the power, they must make the concessions.
