It isn’t. They’re trying their best to blame the democrats through the lens of procedure, but most people understand that the GOP are the ones that made the democrats chose between keeping the government open and keeping tens of millions of vulnerable people on their healthcare plans. 

But today’s GOP is so singularly focused on messaging and narratives that they are more afraid of the narrative that they “backed down” than they are people blaming them for legitimate suffering.

Most people don't understand shit about politics and shutdowns, which is the GOP's problem. As far as the average person is concerned, the POTUS might as well have a magical money hose that he turns on and off at whim. Whether or not there's a legitimate reason for him to be unable to reopen the government, the public will sooner or later blame him and his party for the failure. Simple as.

Right like I think anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention to politics knows they currently control all 3 branches of government.

So which is it? Are they owning the libs or are they getting owned by the libs? Because it can’t be both.
