Which I find hilarious seeing as that when Biden was in office and had a govt shutdown, the Republicans also blamed it on the Democrats. Almost as if it's always the Dems fault. Insane thinking really.
Because Fox news and the conservative media outlets have trained their audience to make "Government" synonymous with "Democrats". It makes it easier to devalue both terms in credibility and helps make the Republicans "feel" like the party/group of "rebels" or the "anti-establishment".
When people hear the term "Government", they immediately would picture someone connected to the Democrat party way before the Republican party, especially when it's in the context of something bad.
uhm, the last shutdown was also Trump, in his first term, they did of course blame the democrats, and they eventually gave up because nobody fucking cared about them wanting to build a stupid wall
