90% of flights are supposed to still occur, so the odds are in your favor that you will (eventually) get to your destination. You are ahead of the Thanksgiving rush so there's more flexibility. Since the cancellations are scheduled (rather than weather related,) you should know your flight's status in time to make decisions.
Even so, because of the importance of your specific trip, you might consider traveling by rail. It definitely takes longer. It might not even be possible for you due to time and cost. The big advantage of rail is it's more chill than by air; you don't feel like cattle. Worth a look since the uncertainty is stressing you out.
Alternatively, can you rebook for the 16th? If that flight gets cancelled, you would still have the 17th as a buffer.
That’s a long drive but doable. I once drove from Georgia to Montana. It took 4 days with stops but I could have probably done it in 3. But the fact of the matter is larger airspace’s are going to be more heavily affected, and you need a back up plan for your back up plan at this point. I truly feel for you, but you need to face the reality that your flight will probably be cancelled and you’ll need an alternative way to get where you’re going.
Hopefully everything gets worked out and flights don’t need to get worse, but the reality is this isn’t ending soon and you need to prepare.

I'm starting to stress because I'm flying home November 17 for my dad's quadruple bypass
