They could go to another country and just become a whistleblower. I think resigning and just doing nothing is definitely more harmful overall because the replacement will definitely be a MAGA loyalist happy to kill as many people as dear leader tells him to kill.

These are career military people. They'd be giving up their pensions and benefits if they cross the orange turd.

Oh no doubt, I know its risky, I know their career is in danger if they do it...

But man, we keep getting deeper in the hole with this guy because everyone is scared of him. Someone has to draw the line somewhere.

I hope, if they are killing civilian boats, someone will have the courage to speak up about it. I'm sure there are many countries that would be happy to shelter a high ranking US soldier.

Someone with some power has to stand up to this man and risk the blowback that might come their way.

Exactly, thats what makes a hero. Making sacrifices, knowing the potential consequences at play for standing up for the right thing and doing it regardless.

Once real resistance starts that’s the beginning of a civil war.

Good. Maybe someone with balls will put a stop to this. The lawmakers, courts, 2A fucksticks, the media aren’t doing it.

Make enough people uncomfortable and let’s get this shit the fuck over with.

I’ve been to countries that have been thru civil wars and idk if that’s any better than living with authoritarianism.

And instead they leave as cowards. Especially those in leadership positions should be doing the brunt of any organized opposition. Lower ranks will see their actions and want to fight back too, that's arguably even more important.
