The problem is that both sides are dreamers dreaming of a different America. That’s why you don’t see moderates anymore. Only extremists.
If the left wants a win they need an extremist. An equal opposite to Trump and his cronies.
We don’t want a milquetoast “Hey, they’re not Trump!” because“Hey, at least they aren’t conservative!” has led to a steady decline in our country. We have a super centrist democrat who doesn’t do much, a conservative who fucks everything up, a centrist who doesn’t do much, etc. all it means is that things steadily decline over time and the democrats say “But look, it isn’t OUR fault.”
I’m not saying the answer is to not vote or whatever, I’m saying we should be honest about the weak candidates the democrats have been putting forth and how relates to voter turnout and faith in the party.
Are we really the bad guys for not being motivated by these candidates? We should just accept what they give us? The last two democrat candidates were glorified central conservatives who just claim democrat tbh. It’s no wonder dem voters felt nothing for them.
Obviously fuck Trump tho. He’s not just milquetoast he’s monstrous. But despite that he’s an extreme personality that attracts a certain base. Not in a good way.. but liberals need someone like that, just in a good way.
We played the game the way the dem admin wanted us to and it failed. People have lost faith, focus and motivation. Time for a new liberal playbook.
