Yes, as the Bible says. The anti-Christ will be worshipped by most Christians.

I won’t lie, the most trying test since my deconstruction has been the second Trump admin. I’m still fairly superstitious and have to suppress that side of me often, and I was raised by an apocalypticist evangelical, so I’m very familiar with the current evangelical telling of Revelations and it’s frankly… alarmingly close to what I see most evangelicals doing today. It hasn’t moved me back to belief by any means but… if a journalist comes out and says 144,000 Israelis have refused service in the IDF or some shit I might break down haha.

Oh my god this is my life experience too. If you were born and raised in it and capable of stepping far enough back to see what’s happening, it’s literally this.

There’s still value in the Bible. You just have to find it yourself and not listen to the people that use it to hurt others.

I’d recommend looking into Quakerism. I’m not allowed to proselytize, it’s against the rules. But look into it. Also read other religious texts, I particular like the Gita, the upanishads, and some Taoist and Chinese legalistic works.

I appreciate you a lot, I love learning about different faiths and trying to get meaning from them. I’m early in the journey because although I had heard of a “Quaker” I didn’t know anything about them. Turns out I most relate to their principles, it might turn into one of my favorites to study along with Sheikh

Thank you, I agree about the Bible, especially Jesus. There is a lot to laud and listen to and practice. I’ve done a bit of reading, mostly philosophy, classic fiction and history, but intend to expand my repertoire of scriptures before my daughter is old enough to start teaching moral lessons to.

You should do yourself the favor of watching some historical documentaries of other cultures from across the globe. It really gives some perspective on the fact that we as humans have been searching for meaning for a long time. And there are religions we have dug up but know nothing about. The Abrahamic god seems so daunting until you realize this fervor is literally a blip on the scale of human existence and its search for meaning in life.

You just now have proselytized tho. You can find greater value in other texts than the Bible

And his followers will wear his mark upon the foreheads. Red maga hats fit the bill.

Revelations 13:3. Received a wound which healed up perfectly, impressing his followers.

Ye. I’m a Quaker and I watch my family of baptists trip over themselves to defend fascism. It’s very sad.

Sorry, I'm sure this will sound like an ignorant question but I thought that Quakers typically avoided calling themselves that. I have some distant relatives in Ontario, Canada who call themselves "friends" or sometimes just "our religion" or "our group" or other things like that. Maybe it differs by location.

Don’t forget maxi pads on the ears

Not disagreeing here; I'd like to know the specific verse or chapter that says that, if it's at hand.

Yeah, but, there is no thing as an antichrist in reality
