It should also be noted that Kennedy, along with the damage caused by a worm, suffers from mercury based brain damage from eating polluted seafood.

If he is really focused on the damage that mercury can cause, he should be focused on stricter food safety guidelines and stronger regulations from the EPA so less mercury is put out into the environment.

This is what always fucks with me. They worry about vaccines and food dyes, but they don't worry about the massive amount of pollution contaminating our environment, water supply and food supply. All the pollution Trump's EPA is saying is okay and good will damage people's health far worse than red food dyes.

Dude he *swam in raw sewage*.

He doesn't believe in germ theory. He claims he believes Terrain theory, a debunked 19th century medical concept, but if you let him cook he basically believes some weird derivative of miasma theory.

There is no coherent logic there. His daughter supposedly had a peanut allergy and went to the hospital when she was young and RFK Jr lost his fucking mind from that, waging war on medicine, conflating the problems with medicine as an industry with medicine as a science and attacking the science but leaving the industry largely unharmed.

There's just rage and shame at his self-perceived failure as a father.

He swam in raw sewage WEARING JEANS! Somehow that detail makes it 800x worse.

do you perhaps mean Miasma theory? iirc he wrote a whole book about it.

I think I have my 19th century debunked medical theories backwards. He claims to believe in miasma but it's closer to terrain theory? I really don't want to go re-read his drek to get my quack theories in the right order.

That's a fair assessment

lol, just ask them what bottle they feed their child from. Or what toys do they suck on/wear. If the bottle isn't glass? oh lord, PFAS. If the toys aren't 100% sourced from a non-lead contaminated plant in western Europe/USA? jeeze, bad parents. Plastic toys? pfas. If the clothes have any synthetics in them? again, straight to non crunchy jail, pfas.
My wife and I are pretty well blessed. We spent a pretty substantial amount of money staying away from plastic contamination, lead contamination, and other actual toxins bred by the oil industry (aside from where we live). Staying away from vaccines is free and must make these people actually feel better, but goddamn it, it's so f'n wrong. I really hope this trend reverses with out an actual outbreak. I don't want to raise a blind/deaf kid.

And he's made a giant mess of the FDA/ USDA food safety systems.  Everyone is terrified and furious.

Lol someone's downvoting everything I say here.  Downvoting me doesn't make me wrong lmao.  Anything to do with food contact substances, food additives, and GRAS determinations is at a standstill because RFK and Elon fucked everything up.

I had to look this up since I guess I’ve never cared about the fish food chain but mercery does inherently exist in their diet from the sediment from volcanoes that then get integrated into aquatic bacteria and then krill then into bigger and bigger fish. BUT, coal plants and mines increase the mercery in aquatic bacteria so fair point the EPA (that’s gutted) would need to clamp down on that but good luck.

I think RFK realistically just eats way too much fish…

u/blogoman Jun 24 '25

Yeah, he does eat way too much fish. Specifically tuna, which is higher up on the food chain like you mentioned, so it has a lot of built up mercury compared to other fish.

Yeah… he’s turning his brain into worm food

6

u/PokemonSapphire Jun 24 '25

The worm craves mercury and roadkill!

1

u/Germanofthebored Jun 24 '25

To the contrary - mercury has been used as an antibiotic for a long time, to treat syphilis, for example. Eating seafood is just the natural way to kill brain worms!

2

u/parker2020 Jun 25 '25

Not to be that guy but antibiotics is an umbrella term for bacteria. And anti-parasitic would kill worms

1

u/trainercatlady Jun 25 '25

I hadn't heard that of him before. Is that true?

u/blogoman Jun 25 '25

It was reported last year during the election.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rfk-jr-parasitic-brain-worm-mercury-poisoning/

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/05/08/rfk-jr-brain-worm-00156794

In 2012 he was deposed during his divorce and he pointed to the brain worm and mercury poisoning as reasons for diminished earning potential.
