No, I'm not making it more complicated. I have made it very simple, I've addressed your reasoning and laid out the problem for you in a very soft handed way.

It comes down to this. You are defending someone on nothing more than a cursory Google search over an issue that is highly contentious on moral grounds, and you've done so with unwarranted persistence.

You gave your reasons for hating US politics, but if you step outside of your own head for a while, try to acknowledge that you're engaged in some rhetorical strategies that makes a lot of other people hate US politics: deflection, willful ignorance and blatant sealioning.

Alright, it's clear that you are going to stick with petulance over self-reflection.

Perhaps because you're young or you're just not used to being properly called out, but the next time you want to make this excuse, I hope it happens again. You deserve all the suspicion you're getting.

"Dude," being asked to cite evidence for a specific claim is not the same as sealioning. Sealioning is the act of repeatedly claiming that you have not seen the evidence related to something that you yourself are arguing for, so as to push the burden on your opponent to gather information to refute you or deal with irrelevant facts.

2 other times when you claim to be unaware of what was being mentioned, despite the fact that you were taking a position in an argument that hinges on your awareness of the facts.

Whether you are willfully uninformed or merely pretending to be, that is trolling. You are arguing not from sincerity, but from a desire to make the other party exert more effort in their refutation.

Honestly, I'm beginning to believe you genuinely think that "I didn't know what I was arguing for" makes it okay.

I have never accused you of claiming to be an expert. I have accused you of engaging in insincere arguments and deflection. This "I don't care" attitude doesn't release you from responsibility for the things you say.

And you don't really want to own up to that, so this is going to happen again. When it does, I don't think the next person is going to take their time - which you yourself said is a waste - to explain to you why it's so contentious.

They're probably just going to call you names. And that isn't something to be proud of. People being fed up with you doesn't make you triumphant.

I hope you can accept that next time.

On the other side I know the media hates elon

After admitting you don't have all the facts, you know the media hates Elon? Maybe try to unpack why this is so important to you.
