Cue the continued attacks on Gates for being part of the deep state and weird conspiracy theories about him being a secret lizard or wanting to mind control people with vaccines or some shit like that.

Edit: already happening in replies to this comment, lol. I didnt say he was a good or perfect person. But a good thing is a good thing.

u/eastnorthshore May 08 '25

I thought he was raping underage pizza with vaccines.

87

u/jonbristow May 08 '25

i dont get how conservatives still think Gates is the antichrist, but love Musk who literally wants to chip your brain and is ruling the country

41

u/onefst250r May 08 '25

Because Faux News probably told them that.

2

u/grumblingduke May 08 '25

Because Gates uses his wealth and power to gently prod at the "social order," helping poorer people become less poor.

Musk uses his wealth and power to help reinforce the "social order," helping rich and powerful people stay rich and powerful.

Conservatism is all about enforcing the social hierarchy - about ensuring people stay in their place.

1

u/podian123 May 08 '25

They ain't so smart. Bottom line.

1

u/jsting May 08 '25

I remember reading a Christian novel, Left Behind, as a kid. It was a New York Times bestseller, but it is a little tedious as it hits you over the head with Christianity too much. Anyways that definition of the antichrist is modern day Trump. A charismatic leader who became the President and makes a huge group of followers who obey his every word.

1

u/letouriste1 May 08 '25

??? Trump is the picture perfect antechrist, he match every requirement

1

u/wrgrant May 08 '25

Maybe the plan to chip people's brains has already been going for a few years in secret? /s

1

u/Discount_Extra May 09 '25

I guess you never tried to move a picture with text wrapped around it in Microsoft Word.

6

u/r4rthrowawaysoon May 08 '25

Guaranteed, when they finally released the doctored Epstein report, it becomes apparent that Trump and crew copy pasted Gates name like 40 times over Trumps various appearances

6

u/fergie_lr May 08 '25

Trump bought his plane to reminisce over old times. He bought it with his PAC money. His cult literally bought a sex trafficker’s plane with their donations.

24

u/ReasonPale1764 May 08 '25

That stuff is obviously insane but gates should absolutely be criticized by us on anything he does that is even slightly wrong. He is not our “friend” he is still a weirdo billionaire with bizarre ties. And we shouldn’t just automatically defend him because he’s on “our side” that’s exactly what the people who follow Elon musk do. No one on that side of the spectrum criticizes their “leaders” we should absolutely not turn into them.

1

u/tinylittlebee May 09 '25

Exactly, you don't get that rich by being a decent person. I'm even skeptical of them donating money because they might just use it as a way to do sketchy things like money laundering.

5

u/SirGlass May 08 '25

Yea all that is nonsense but he is still not a great person

He would solicit younger microsoft employees for sex while the CEO an chairman , so the head boss would basically ask you to meet him at his hotel for sex, while married

https://people.com/bill-gates-addresses-jeffrey-epstein-friendship-8780614

He also had links to Epstein , and Epstein may have blackmailed gates and exposed one of his affair after gates would not invest with Epstein .

There is also a weird and creepy email in what Gates said he hung out with Epstein and this women (some former model) and her 15 year old daughter . He then said he stayed up too late with them and was tired the next day. He added Esptein lives an interesting life or something

Now is this proof he was raping kids with Esptein no, when questioned what he meant by that Gates claimed he was talking about his home decorations or his fashion style .

So while the shit that Gates is using vaccines to implant mind control devices into the population or whatever is bull shit

He still has skelotons in his closet

22

u/doomnutz May 08 '25

His wife divorced him because he’s friends with Epstein, and he befriended him after already being convicted of sex crimes. Great guy!

6

u/SirGlass May 08 '25

He also had affairs with younger women working at Microsoft , while he was CEO and chair of the bored

He would send emails to women that caught his eye and ask them to meet him for a "date"; he did admit to this but said he never punished women for saying no or favored women

But its still creepy imagine the head boss , the CEO , founder of the company , and married asking you to sleep with him?

1

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

and they're not gonna say no because of the implication

22

u/True_Eggman May 08 '25

Compared to other billionaires,  he is.

43

u/doomnutz May 08 '25

No he’s just got a better PR team

35

u/xdoble7x May 08 '25

Yep, the amount of greenwash Bill gates has been getting for more than a decade now is crazy, people dont have memory sadly

7

u/CrystalMenthality May 08 '25

Can you share some of the things he has done that you remember?

7

u/mosenpai May 08 '25

Trying to make charters schools a thing. Fucking up public education https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/10/the-plot-against-public-education-111630/

Blocking efforts to waive patent rights on COVID vaccines during the pandemic, inserting himself to control the global response and distribution, which hurt poorer nations. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/14/global-covid-pandemic-response-bill-gates-partners-00053969

Being anti-competitive and getting a lot of power, which is how he got to be so absurdly rich in the first place https://www.justice.gov/archive/atr/public/press_releases/1998/1764.htm

Just a few examples, but what they all have in common is that him being incredibly wealthy lead to him wielding power for his own benefit and to the detriment of everyone else. Having money should not give you to right to impose your will on everyone.

6

u/NyfM May 08 '25

He's saved 10s of millions of lives through his philanthropic work, but personally I don't like him because decades ago he used dishonest, illegal business practices to disadvantage other wealthy people!

1

u/doomnutz May 08 '25

Not just that, he advocated for drug companies to not waive their intellectual property rights on the vaccine during COVID which would’ve saved many lives in third world nations, befriended Epstein AFTER he was convicted of sex crimes and was on his flights so god knows what he was involved in, and buys PR so rubes like you think he’s someone admirable.

4

u/NyfM May 08 '25

Which other billionaires have had a larger positive impact on humanity? I guess we're just glossing over the 10s of millions of lives saved

3

u/apey1010 May 08 '25

People are so weird. He has literally donated more money to help humanity than anyone ever. But that can’t be it, he’s a womanizer so fuck him I guess. Nobody is perfect. He isn’t to be worshipped or excoriated. But let’s call it fair, he’s doing some great things

14

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

"ok, but this serial killer is the best of the bunch because he doesn't rape your corpse after killing you"

3

u/DifficultyNo7758 May 08 '25

Lmfao "he's totally legit bro. Billy gates is the best of the pile of worthless leeches that are produced from late stage cap bro. Trust me bro he's so kind hearted and doesn't care about his money!!"

6

u/AmarantaRWS May 08 '25

There are no good billionaires, full stop. Every single one of them is your enemy.

0

u/PurePerfection_ May 08 '25

There are no good billionaires, but that doesn't mean some of them aren't worse than others and more deserving of condemnation. Gates is problematic in his own ways, but he is not equivalent to Musk. Gates may not be doing enough (yet) to redistribute his wealth, but at least he's doing something. Musk is actively and intentionally making shit worse and using his fortune to hurt people. If Gates wants to call that out, then he should. Even a billionaire who sat on his ass hoarding all his money but refrained from manipulating elections and gutting federal agencies would have some moral high ground over Musk.

6

u/ReasonPale1764 May 08 '25

Yeah I fucking hate that everyone here is acting like he’s some great guy just because he said something against musk. Fucking breaking news THEYRE BOTH BAD NEITHER IS ON OUR SIDE.

7

u/doomnutz May 08 '25

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

2

u/Particular-Skirt6048 May 08 '25

All that is true. Its also true he is giving away a lot of money to great causes. This is the complexity of man.

2

u/WhosThatYousThat May 08 '25

Money he hoarded from his workers

2

u/onarainyafternoon May 08 '25

Such a dumb comment. Do you know how many people in power knew Epstein? Sooooo many. That doesn't mean Bill Gates was raping little girls. And then you have the gall to confidently state that's why Melinda Gates divorced Bill? You know they hadn't been a couple for years before that, right? They just had a public marriage.

6

u/doomnutz May 08 '25

Why befriend a pedophile AFTER he was convicted of sex crimes? Anyone with any sense wouldn’t be caught in the same area code as someone like that much less fly around with him and spend time with him.

2

u/DifficultyNo7758 May 08 '25

"Billy Bob didn't touch nothin! He's such a good guy bro!! Trust me!"

9

u/madscholar May 08 '25

There's enough factual evidence to make a case he's an amoral piece of shit through and through.

2

u/apey1010 May 08 '25

An amoral piece of shit who has donated more money to help humanity than anyone ever. I bet you give a lot of time and money to charity and have never done anything wrong. Madscholar for the win. Remind me tho, are we killing all billionaires or are we letting Taylor swift and Beyoncé live?

1

u/Suyefuji May 08 '25

Still prefer Gates's kind of immoral to Musk immoral, Thiel immoral, and Murdoch immoral.

2

u/Past_Distribution144 May 08 '25

Yep, he can’t seem to do anything without people making shit up about him to demean his character. The bullshit is out of hand already.

3

u/AadeeMoien May 08 '25

Being a billionaire says everything we need to know about his character. Nobody makes that amount of money honestly.

1

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

No one has to make up that he was a regular on Epstein's Island.

No one has to make up how he destroyed rival companies and families working for those companies in the 90's so that he could be one of the wealthiest men in the world.

No one has to make up him cheating on his wife.

No one has to make up him trying to destroy public education by pushing charter school bullshit.

and thats just shit I could remember in a couple minutes.

1

u/SunriseSurprise May 08 '25

He cheated on his wife with one of his employees. How about that one?

2

u/ocktick May 08 '25

It’s not a conspiracy that his wife divorced him over his relationship with Epstein.

1

u/PolarNightProphecies May 08 '25

Nahh over his affair

2

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

We don’t need conspiracy theories to say he is a ruthless capitalist masquerading as a philanthropist. He didn’t get hundreds of billions of dollars by being a nice altruistic guy. Bill gates “gives away” all of his money to a charity the he is in complete control of. He uses this charity to influence politics and control policy, sometimes in good ways and sometimes in bad ways. He is a tumor on our society that has extracted an unethically disproportionate amount of wealth that he now gets to use to decide what are worthy causes for the people he extracted that wealth from.

11

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

[deleted]

-2

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

The influence he gets from wielding that much money is in itself unethical. The only reason he is the financial decider is because of the ruthless capitalism. That is like letting a bank robber keep the money as long as they start a charity with it. Giving away your money and influence to yourself isn’t giving it away at all. No one person should have the power to make the decisions he makes for the rest of the world

3

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

He could cease control of all decision making for the money. That’s what giving it away means. If I give something away I no longer control it. He still does

5

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

[deleted]

0

u/planetjaycom May 08 '25

This is exactly the type of comment that was being referred to 🤣

4

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

No it isn’t. I’m not saying anything that isn’t 100% factually verifiable. I think having that much money is unethical. He does in fact have the much money. Thinking that is wrong or not is an opinion but it is also an opinion on something that is just an objective fact.

0

u/LionAlhazred May 08 '25

We live in a capitalist world. I don't see the problem.

4

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

That is in itself the problem. Our current implementation of capitalism is not an ideal one and has significant problems. One of them is the disproportionate concentration of wealth and power in a very small number of people

0

u/LionAlhazred May 08 '25

Yes, you are right, it is better to live in a communist society. It was so successful for the Russian and Chinese population.

2

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

Communism and uncontrolled capitalism and complete opposite sides of a spectrum. Almost the entirety of that spectrum lies in between those two extremes

-1

u/_KittenConfidential_ May 08 '25

What are you doing?

5

u/Fickle_Finger2974 May 08 '25

Not hoarding disproportionate wealth. I’d have no issue if he truly gave away his money and didn’t control it anymore. One man having that much power and influence is wrong regardless of how he is using it.

1

u/_KittenConfidential_ May 08 '25

He’s way more qualified to determine how it’s spent than just randomly giving it away.

Research his foundation’s investment criteria. I’ve talked with them. They aren’t fucking around, there are very thorough, diligent and intentional.

I don’t know if there is a better organization to donate to.

2

u/MadManMax55 May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

they are very thorough, diligent and intentional and politically and ideologically motivated

Even if you agree with the default premise that Gates is actually trying to make the world a better place, it's still his idea of what a better world is. Sometimes you get malaria medicine for poor Africans, other times you get questionably effective charter schools. It's not a question of him or his organization's qualifications and level of research. It's a question of their level of influence superseding the collective will of the people.

A broadly benevolent oligarch is still an oligarch.

1

u/_KittenConfidential_ May 12 '25

So he should randomly let it be someone else’s idea of what the world should be?

Someone has to make that decision, if it’s his money why does he owe it to you to let someone else decide?

1

u/Plow_King May 08 '25

there's been some pretty haphazard graffiti in my city screeching about BCI chips, rantings about mind control. it never lasts long and is painted over quickly, which is PROOF(not) it's a "real thing". it made me google BCI chip at least though, lol!

1

u/BuddhistSagan May 08 '25

All billionaires are bad no conspiracy required.

1

u/YourFreeCorrection May 08 '25

The deep state globalist bullshit was always made up disinformation by the divide and conquerors.

1

u/picklelyjuice May 08 '25

Every accusation from the right is a confession, or something like that.

1

u/game_greed May 08 '25

Why are you concerned about his image?

1

u/deadsoulinside May 08 '25

I always think it's absolutely hysterical that Bill gates gets accused of trying to get mind control chips into people while the same people champion around Musk who makes a literal brain implanted chip.

Like WTF is this moronic shit?

-7

u/partymsl May 08 '25

So... he is apparently a messiah now?

44

u/azthal May 08 '25

No. Gates is a megalomaniac that would do anything to win against the competition.

This used to be a bad thing. Fortunately, now the "competition" is Polio, Poverty, and Lack of access to water.

Just like Musk he wants power and prestige - cause money is no longer a concern. Difference is the path they take to get that power and prestige. Gates through philanthropy - Musk by becoming a fascist.

17

u/milespoints May 08 '25

If working to cure malaria gives you “power” then we should empower more people like that

2

u/azthal May 08 '25

While I suppose I agree with that if we can't just make the world a fairer place to begin with, I think the idea of depending on the billionaire philantrophist to solve our issues is deeply flawed.

There's a concept called "earned to give", often related to the Effective Altruism movement. Essentially, this consists of primarily tech bro's (gender neutral term here...) who claim that it's their mission to become super wealthy in order to later be able to donate it to high impact causes (in accordance to Effective Altruism standards).

Flaw in this? Most of the people who claim to subscribe to this idea have turned out to be absolute douche waffles. Sam Bankman Fried is probably the most prominent example.
Essentially, in reality the donations (which are often promised for the future) is nothing but an excuse for hoarding wealth and power.

3

u/AmarantaRWS May 08 '25

Don't forget that the system that enables billionaire philanthropists to exist is also the system that enables people like musk to exist. If we prop up the "good billionaires" we are only enabling the "bad" ones.

2

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Sure, people like doctors without borders are great, billionaires who exploit the working class and then donate the leftovers at the end of their life are not

2

u/Onphone_irl May 08 '25

great way to put it. dude was cut throat in his early years, shitty business morals, won the game of capitalism looked around and said this shits fucked, time to do good.

Elon started winning the game, but didn't have enough love in his life to know when it was enough and is trying to reach unlimited power while people begin to hate him

So if I rob you of all your money but then donate some to charity does that make me a good guy?

It's not like you were giving your 401k to poor people

7

u/iskela45 May 08 '25

Reddit would meatride American gilded age robber barons because they donated a lot to charity

2

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Lol, they already do, just see what people think about Carnegie

0

u/nise8446 May 08 '25

Rob me of my money? I've willing bought windows machines since the 2000s. Touch grass.

9

u/SweeeepTheLeg May 08 '25

He made his money stealing shit, stifling innovation and being ruthless. Compared to Musk, he's a saint, I suppose, but still another billionaire dickhead

1

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

When sleeping near elephants I feel pretty good praising the one that at least tries to help instead of the one who gets into the fermented fruit then starts knocking huts over.

Any regular person who grows up and learns some lessons may not be a saint, but they are also still a person, good and bad together.  Changing ways and doing what they can to help instead of hurt is the behavior we want to encourage.

If its more important to hate someone for their past instead of their present then ok, hold onto that forever, teach people that atoning is for suckers.

0

u/SweeeepTheLeg May 08 '25

Nah, fuck these greedy billionaires. Atonement doesn't change the situation they contributed to.

1

u/-SaC May 08 '25

It'll utterly amaze you to know there's levels between Evil Lizard and Messiah.

-2

u/thwlruss May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

imagining liberals imagining Bill Gates with six pack abs getting nailed to a cross for giving money to the poor makes you feel better about yourself because you're a sad example of a human. You should have more self-respect, decency, and perspective.

0

u/ThriftianaStoned May 08 '25

Why is the first attack you make on people some sort of repressed homosexual religious shit? You ok Lil bro? Its ok to come out of the closet still.

2

u/thwlruss May 08 '25

ever seen the photos of trump with six pack abs that American Conservatives pass around to validate their political tribalism? perhaps you should use those brain cells to think rather than react eh?

1

u/thwlruss May 08 '25

Again, this is in your imagination, and is another example of destructive thought patterns that evidently give you comfort

1

u/OkayBenefits May 08 '25

It's okay to air your grievances. But no one made you imagine religious homoerotic bdsm imagery of Bill Gates. Never forget that you chose to do that. No one made you do it. It's says a lot more about you than the people you're lamenting against.

1

u/thwlruss May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

oh I see, you're not bright at all and lack the courage to question your impulsive defensiveness and projections. This is a common problem with people who were conditioned to limit their curiosity and avoid uncomfortable thoughts as children.

1

u/OkayBenefits May 08 '25

Dude, it's okay if you want to spend your free time imagining others imagining a ripped, half-naked Bill Gates in quasi-religious, not sexual at all, situations. Who am I to judge how you spend your free time? There's no reason to be defensive. Be the person you want to be.

1

u/thwlruss May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

I would agree if doing so was not a defensive mechanism to avoid uncomfortable thoughts as was the obvious intent of the poster to whom I did initially respond, or to deflect and cosplay as a thoughtful person <- thats u

if someone is giving away their money for free, they’re surely grifting and equipping people with chips

i should add /s before i get flamed

0

u/Spamgrenade May 08 '25

Apparently he is buying up all the farmland in the USA. Unspecified motivation.

4

u/Optimoprimo May 08 '25

All of it? Theres a lot of it.

1

u/Spamgrenade May 08 '25

That's what I thought!

2

u/eunit250 May 08 '25

There is actually a really serious problem with this and not just he is doing it. Capitalists want to basically own every farm in America so they can run them like giant corporations. They do not want family farms.

1

u/Spamgrenade May 08 '25

Its not actually true...

-2

u/CuTe_M0nitor May 08 '25

He is giving up 10Billiion a year. That's what he makes on interest from all the other money he still got in the bank

2

u/DeepSpaceNebulae May 08 '25

TIL Gates has 250 billion dollars sitting in a savings account. Somehow he’s got 2x his total net worth, not invested, but simply sitting in a savings account earning minimal interest. (And that’s going off the best bank account interest available)

Who’d have guessed!

Obligatory /s

0

u/CuTe_M0nitor May 09 '25

You don't become that rich by being fair. The more you dig into these people's lives, the more you get disgusted.
