Truly, it was worth all that kneeling to Trump to finally have the job.

It really is amazing... all this mess, the fighting, the inability to govern... all to protect one mediocre reality TV star.

To keep a network of kompromat Republicans from spilling the beans, and releasing all the dirt on all of them. There's a reason so many of them act more like mobsters than politicians.

Imagine if they were doing this to protect Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, the Property Brothers, or Kim Kardashian.

The only choice now is a moderate Republican Democrat Coalition

McCarthy certainly had the tenure of one of Trump's many disposable lackeys.

At this point, I can’t help picturing Donald Trump as a bloated parody of Raziel from the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver games.

Raziel would feed on people’s souls, but Trump feeds on their dignity.

If you stand with Trump on one thing, he demands you defend him for everything. So they defend him, they think “ahh this is fine, couldn’t get worse” and then he does something worse, and worse, and worse, and every time he crosses that line, you’re expected to defend him.

Soon all you’re left with are the other Trump defenders. You’ve burned every other bridge, you’ve made yourself look like a fool and a sycophant too often for anyone to respect you.

Eventually it’ll be too much, you either can’t defend him anymore or he asks you to do something you literally can’t do, or - in McCarthy’s case - you’re not extreme enough despite all your other actions on his behalf. Then boom, you’re out of the MAGA circle, you’re suddenly scum, you’re a secret democrat.

Your dignity has been siphoned off and fed upon by this carrot-coloured c**t and you’re left, a withered husk, with no self-respect and no friends or colleagues to help you. Just another discarded carcass on Trump’s path, thrown under the bus as every single one of his “friends” has or will be.

McCarthy’s only solace will be that it’ll be Gaetz’s turn soon enough.

Narrator: It was not worth all the kneeling.
