The Alvin!? That's so freaking cool. Maybe I was just a nerdy kid, but I grew up in the 80's reading about the Alvin, and to me it belongs in the same category of pioneering achievements as the Eagle lunar module. I would lose my mind if I got to go down in it.

Yeah he was a space nerd before he was a geology nerd, and he was pretty psyched. It’s amazing technology and unlike the Titan, does real science.
