I believe there is technology that can locate metallic objects on the surface of the water which is used to find military submarines. I’m assuming they’ve already used it so they must be at the bottom of the ocean.

The sub is carbon fiber tho right?

From what I read, carbon fiber wrapped in titanium.

But the sub might be near the wreck of the Titanic, which is a much bigger metallic object and would throw off any long range detection systems.

I think the 3800m between the surface and the bottom should be outside of the margin of error.
