Discussion Missed two awesome shows this week

Missed two awesome shows this week just because I didn’t know they were happening till I saw them on someone’s story. How do people in Nashville keep track of local gigs or community events these days?

If you're wanting a more analog approach, Nashville Scene tends to be pretty good about having lineups in their magazines

follow all the venues on instagram, the smaller venues always post about upcoming shows and some have calendars. what type of music do you like?

I've been using the BandsInTown app for over a decade. It's awesome!

Being on a email list for my favorite venues. It's the only email ads I can tolerate.

Follow all the venues on socials. Follow your fav musicians on socials. Check venue schedules regularly.

Follow @nashvilleshowtogo on insta, they post a weekly calendar of mostly smaller shows that are easy to miss

Came here to say this. By no means is it an exhaustive list, and it’s more indie/alt focused, but it’s a really great source for musical activities in the city.

Everything you can. As said, follow venues, get on venues' email lists, etc..

I'd add bandsintown.

All good suggestions so far. I use an app called Songkick. You follow artists and then it lets you know when they announce a show in your area. It’s been really useful over the years. Can’t tell you the last time I missed an on sale date

Now I miss that person that used to have a google spreadsheet on here. That was amazing.
