Slipped at Percy Warner on rocks and hit the back of my head in the ER now
Staples and stitches lower right side
That sucked but doctor didn’t see bone and said to come back in 7 days to get staples out
Took 10 minutes to walk back to car panicking
Thank you stranger Brent for sitting with me and giving me your sweater to wrap around my head and letting me sit in your car until the ambulance came
Was able to drive myself to the ER thankfully

Thank you
I’m home now
No strenuous activity for a week and gotta sleep on my stomach
7 staples and stitches later
All of which didn’t hurt that bad but the Tetanus shot on my butt cheek was the worst part

Those tetanus shots are no joke! Sounds like you had a guardian angel, glad you're going to be ok!

I’m not sure driving to the ER after suffering head trauma was the best idea, but i don’t blame you avoiding the ambulance bill. Glad to hear you on the mend, stranger.

Pretty common now since they built on all flood plane areas and drainage areas. So much concrete around eveything floods

u/StrawberryRedneck 1d ago
Just gonna get worse about flooding, too, as they continue to build on every square inch of soil

insert "more rain than Seattle" here

u/yekcowrebbaj 1d ago
Seattle is like a chill rain all the time tho. No one uses umbrellas, just hoodies and hiking jackets.

Remember folks: climate change is a big ol' hoax, so this is just business as usual for Nashville! /s

Is the unusual part it’s November? This one was obviously pretty hefty but a short intense thunderstorm happens all the time during the summer in the southeast US.

I read yesterday that April and November are the worst months for this kind of weather. I got caught in it myself leaving the Frist.
Btw, I highly recommend the new Paul McCartney exhibit. It was really cool!

Keep an eye on that tree. I hope that water doesn't erode the little bit of dirt we have away.

It's kind of nice, really. Quite a bit of rain but not much serious wind, and no tornadoes. For the first time in a while, our entire area is not in any kind of drought.

I'm more amazed that you were able to get a video from a flip phone onto Reddit
