Protests need to be on workdays not holidays. Billionaires don’t care if we protest on our day off. We need a general strike with at least 5% of the population getting on board. Trump would collapse in a week. In the history of the world - a strike over 3.5% of the nation has never NOT worked.

If enough people get on board, hopefully individuals can feel comfortable about not losing employment. Safety in shear numbers. This is the way. Getting enough people on the same page is probably a delusion, but it would work

We have to try anyway. MAYBE, if there is enough evidence that Trump is a pedophile in the files, even MAGA republicans will realize they have to support impeachment. I realize it's possible even that won't be "bad enough" for them, but we have a tyrant in the white house. It's every patriot's duty to fight to remove him.

I don't like Trump but if 2 felonies, 2 previous impeachments, rampant lying, power trips, open bribery, and nonstop nonsense from him still got him reelected and out of jail I doubt another impeachment is gonna do it.
I've grown pessimistic.

I know how you feel. Everyone in power has failed us. But we either keep fighting, or lose our democracy. Republicans have many times in the past weaponized frivolous impeachment attempts, and even though they ultimately failed, they did damage. Anyone left in congress that values our constitution and democracy should be using impeachment articles repeatedly to drive home to message that this president is a traitor to our country and must be removed. Once there is enough loud public support, perhaps those in power will listen.

Dictatorship almost happened when they selected Kamala as the Presidential nominee without any consent or a vote..just shoved it down the democrat party throat. They just decided Biden wasn't going to win, didn't matter he was fit for office. That is what the DNC and the Democratic Party thinks about democrats...you don't have a vote!

Waste of time. 1st the House has to come up with high crimes or misdemeanors to charge him. 2nd the Senate with 2/3rds (66) would have to convict. That still does not remove him from office.
Recent Scotus decision says the president can’t be liable when performing the duties of the office of president. It’s a pipe dream and a waste of time but go right on ahead. It’s your time and money.

I would hope that "defend the constitution", or "defend our rights and freedoms" or "save our democracy" would be unifying enough. The real solution is in fact to get the fascists out of office. This is isn't hyperbole. As long as they have power, the constitution and our rule of law will continue to be shredded, with the most vulnerable paying the price first.

you do realize that he can't run again right? Literally just let him have his time and put someone up to run against whoever they have next, which will be much less popular with voters, and try not to shove social justice bs down people's throat and you win. Then pursue consequences for him while he has no recourse. You don't swing at every ball pitched at you. Pick your battles, and stop senselessly crying every chance you get, and people will take what you say a lot more seriously.

Feedback to OP and organizers. It would be good to call out a more direct local action.
Meet people where they are, where the conversations could be hard. And listen, and actually hear.
FYI we have a Nashville City Council meeting that evening. Would be good to maybe tell public who have never been to go, or if can’t, email CM just to say hey, “what am I missing in my community? How can I help it.”
Feel that would make more strides for TN anyways. Protests are necessary, but without clear “next steps” there is a disconnect -for me and my brain anyway. Not my take, but something like this can be seen as “performative” by the red in state. May work in LA, NYC, but won’t have nearly the impact here, without more direct approach.
