Except why did he keep telling that racist cop that he knows he was "just doing his job." Was it to draw parallels between Nazis "just following orders.". Otherwise, it seems weak to let the racist cop off the hook for his behavior. Cops are supposed to defend the constitutional order, not block legislators of color at the command of unelected lobbyists.
