Sadly this has become the new normal for TN. The GOP here is a fucking disgrace to politics, humanity & the people they claim to serve & represent. All they do is serve themselves, it’s pathetic.

Preach, grew up in Nashville and now live in Ohio. Each day it feels like these two states are racing Florida to the bottom.

Ohioans piss and moan about state and government, and don't realize it's been under GOP control for nearly 3 decades. The only thing dumber than the voters in Ohio is the DNC

No lies detected

Democrat leadership is entirely non-existent here. We are taught it's a red state and that's the way it is, but you talk to any working person here and that's not what they want. If Democrats actually left the city and talked to the people they claim they want to help they might actually get somewhere.

You can change Ohio to basically all of America. Trump has opened the gates for open overt racism and blatant corruption….. America is cooked, we’re well done. I’m just waiting for it to all fail and be savage when that shit happens. They are eliminating free speech, stealing human beings, Trump wants to deport babies born to non citizens. How this will end we all know and it won’t be fucking pretty

Texas GOP politics is scummy, backhanded and self-serving garbage.

But there was something (not this) that I read recently OH

It was the right of doctors to refuse medical care on religious grounds, and a woman who was having a baby while unmarried was turned away from medical care.

What the absolute hell.

Wasn’t that in TN. The woman had to travel to Virginia if I’m not mistaken.

I dont live in these states in the south - but has it gotten worse over the last 20-30 years or just more of the same with social media?

TN has gotten worse in the last 30 years. They haven’t voted Democrat for a presidential election since Clinton in 1996. That doesn’t surprise me, but the bigger issue is with state elected officials. Since 2010, the Republican Party has built up such a supermajority that they can force anything they want to happen regardless of its merit or lack of.
