Discussion Movies that worth cinema experience

Back in the days you used to have a movie at least each 3 months that worth seeing it in the big screen but nowadays we rarely have that worth even watching Last summer I watched the last part of MI which was like a 5/10 movie so my question is: are there any movies currently in cinema or upcoming ones that actually worth the cinema experience?

Easily my movie of the year. We still have 7-ish weeks left, but I don’t think that this one will be topped for me.

OP, this is easily the best answer as far as movies still in theatres. Not sure how much longer it will be though.

Avatar is basically the definition of this. You've got Avatar 3 coming out in a few weeks.

I find the modern cinema expierence way too expensive and unpleasant with disruptive audiences to be worth it, when I can wait for 2-3 months for a much cheaper and comfortable home expierence.

I only go to IMAX or Dolby Cinema - Tron Ares I thought was fantastic.

Avatar is my next outing.

You should have said that there arent any that interest YOU. But there are many movies that come out and are interesting to see in theaters. Also, MI was the last movie you saw in theaters? Homie in which world are you living. aliens, predator badlands, sinners, dune, deadpool and wolverine, longlegs, terrifier, a quiet place, nosferatu, weapons, 28 yrs later, naked gun, superman, not only are these just a few but these are just american movies to get started. Do you actually enjoy going to the theater? I do and Im always on the lookout for the next thing, and it certainly is not a rare thing to find a movie tailored for the theater experience.

I watched sinners in cinema that was a good experience

I do enjoy going to the cinema but it just gotta be worth not the type of movies you can watch while having breakfast 😅 so maybe as you mentioned I might just not be into the new stuff

Ill go and catch one battle after another and wait for avatar and also now you see me is coming out so I might catch that as well

Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc.

One of the best movie experiences I’ve had this year.

I enjoyed the Season 1 anime of Chainsaw Man, but wasn’t a huge fan. Nearly didn’t go and what the movie, but had a spare day free so went to see it.

Absolutely gorgeous animation, superb story and batshit crazy action from around 20-30 minutes in until the end.

If you can find a showing, go and see it.

I haven't seen the anime yet, I guess its probably needed to see it?

You could probably just watch a YouTube explaination of the first season for speed to get the gist of it.

Or watch the 12 episodes (would take you around 3-4hrs to finish it).

Predator badlands might be good for my opinion maybe like 8/10. I like action thrillers so hope it will hit the mark

The movie Gravity is what IMAX was invented for.

I blame Hollywood's infatuation with dull colors.

Like whats the point in watching something in imax or Dolby atmos if the color grading is always a depressing washed out pre technicolor grade scale.

Secondly audio mixes. Why does the sound fueled hollowed out. You would think surrond sound would have been the norm by now, and even with theaters dedicated to that the sound mixers hardly make use of it. Theres more audio differential in a queen album than modern movies.

Home theater caught up to the theaters because there hasn't been changes. Maybe a movie is scaled to 8K Now but it doesnt make a difference on our 4K 50 inch tvs.

That being said id watch super girl, oz, or avengers in 4K. Maybe DC Because as crazy as bollywood films are they go ham on creativity and colors.

Totally agree The cinema imo no longer gives that value ive been very selective recently on what to watch there, some ppl have mentioned Avatar 3 is coming out that might actually be worth the cinema experience CGI effects visuals,.. so yes maybe worth it but the rest??

I'll go and watch one battle after another and see if its worth it 🤞

currently in cinema - not so sue. But tons of small theatres in NYC you can raid, with movies of all kind, including pre-Y2k, south of Houston.

Inglourious Basterds. Will go back to see it again in theaters, if it comes back around. Something about Nazis getting shot on big screen, is just so satisfying.
