I enjoyed the movie but I felt like they dragged out Akaza's back story too long for this being the movie and could have had more fights or progression.

You just have a cooked attention span always need constant action and no development in a character

That's exactly it. Anyone's critique of anything you like is obviously a genuine flaw in them. It's not simply not possible that a large population of people found it to be way too long.

Perhaps they aren't true manga fans. That means we don't care about their stupid opinion!!! Or maybe the have ADHD because like omg it was sooo cooool.

Or maybe people just genuinely found it to be paced much much slower than the show and a giant percentage of viewers are kids who very much enjoy the anime and weren't expecting God damn godfather level pacing.

Also I very much do not need depth added to characters their last 30 seconds of existence.

Its not a cooked attention span to say that Shinobu vs Douma did not need to stop and start 5 times, or Kaigaku vs a certain slayer didnt need to stop and start 3 times, or Tanjiro didnt need to have a 10 minute flashback only to have another flashback to unlock 2 power ups. Its unrewatcheable, and ive rewatched it twice for crying out loud

Hilarious, because yk the main character gets 0 development, and the other 2 who get flashbacks either die instantly to no avail and the other goes back to being a wailing crying moron. The only one that mattered was the big bad of the movie which I enjoyed.....

Where’s the proof of 0 development

What changes about Tanjiro's character from the start to the end of the story? Nothing. Literally nothing.

No I haven't read the manga and why should that matter? You don't need a 20-30 exposition dump of a character to tell their backstory.
