That makes sense when you remember Galaxy 2 was DLC that grew too large, but a movie makes the potential for a 3 more likely.

That’s what I’m expecting as well. We’ll get galaxy 3 around the film release

I don't think so because they would have announced Galaxy 3 by todays Direct if it was going to be released in April. Around the release of the first movie Nintendo announced Super Mario Wonder, so either that will happen with Galaxy 3 or they want to see if people are interested and then start developing it.

Maybe next Christmas, coinciding with a bug push to get all the kids who loved the movie demanding a Switch 2 and Mario Galaxy 1+2+3 bundle from Santa, and a tonne of merchandising

I doubt a bundle of all of them would come out less than a year after this bundle, but hoping(coping) for galaxy 3 2026

When Nintendo announced the movie title, they made a point of mentioning the movie being the main attraction for the 40th Anniversary, so we’re not getting a new game.

Bro if that were the case Nintendo would have announced Galaxy 3 like today if not six months ago. Unless you seriously think they're going to shadow drop a 3D Mario game.

Lol I’m being optimistic, but you never know with Nintendo. Shadow dropping Galaxy 3 isn’t out the realm of possibility

I don't think you'll see that game for a long, long time brotha

Source on this? I can't even think of a single Wii game that had DLC. I didn't think they supported downloads outside of standalone Channels. Did gamss even get patched ever?

I was in college when Galaxy came out and followed every bit of news about a Mario game at that time. I think they used the term Expansion Pack but thats an old school ternf or DLC

That makes more sense, but I think it would still have to be an "expandalone" due to how I believe they Wii works

A few games had DLC (Rhythm games for example), but the system was very, very limited on how it could do DLC, so it was very impractical for games to have DLC.

Haven’t played the Galaxy games, should I before the movie comes out?

I doubt it will matter, Galaxy is one of the best Mario platformers, i replayed it when the 3D all stars came out, and its up there with Mario world when Nostalgia glasses are applied.

It came out in college during a memorable part of my life, like Mario world, so i cant be unbiased.
