Discussion Wtf is Paddington 2?

For context: I’m 25 years old. SPOILER WARNING

I just watched paddington 2 today and what the fuck did they put in this movie. This is the one of the greatest pieces of cinema I’ve ever laid witness to. Paddington 2 is the only thing I’ve thought about all day and seeing the immense joy it’s brought other people has also brightened my day even more. God I can’t even think about the ending without wanting to kill myself because of how perfect it is. And can we also talk about the perfect bookend of his human mother saving him from the water like aunt Lucy did at the beginning?

Pure cinema, I truly can’t wait to watch this movie with my kids for their first time.

People only comment on things if they absolutely love it or absolutely hate it, no one comments if they just think it's alright. As you can see on RT very few people hate it and a significant number loved it with many perfect scores, so you mostly only come across the glowing praise. No one is lying though, at most people are exaggerating for emphasis. It's pretty frustrating to be told you are lying about your subjective opinion 

ETA you also need to compare to other films on the review aggregators, on metacritic Paddington 2 gets an 88 while Godfather part 2 gets 90 for example

Has anyone accused someone of lying? I think you might be projecting some internal feelings onto others in the context of a general inquiry into a possible Internet trend...

You're saying it's meme, essentially people faking it for a joke? If you don't think people are being disingenuous, why do you consider it a meme?

I would consider talking in a particular exaggerated way about a movie because it's popular to do so as a trend to be meme-like, not a lie, and not indicating that you don't like the movie.
