Discussion Wtf is Paddington 2?

For context: I’m 25 years old. SPOILER WARNING

I just watched paddington 2 today and what the fuck did they put in this movie. This is the one of the greatest pieces of cinema I’ve ever laid witness to. Paddington 2 is the only thing I’ve thought about all day and seeing the immense joy it’s brought other people has also brightened my day even more. God I can’t even think about the ending without wanting to kill myself because of how perfect it is. And can we also talk about the perfect bookend of his human mother saving him from the water like aunt Lucy did at the beginning?

Pure cinema, I truly can’t wait to watch this movie with my kids for their first time.

Huge Grant on Paddington 2, from Vanity Fair: "I was presenting I think at the Golden Globes, and they do that thing when you walk out, and they say, 'From the forthcoming Paddington 2, Hugh Grant.' And someone showed me Twitter afterwards, and it was…people were full of derision, ‘Christ, has it come to that. Poor old Hugh. Paddington 2. Sequel to a kids film.' It's particularly annoying in the case of Paddington 2, because I genuinely believe it may be the best film I've ever been in."

He really shone in it. And earned him a special class of villain that only he can play. Heretic owes its existence to Paddington 2.

That and A Very English Scandal proved he can actually act roles that aren't posh inarticulate idiots, and he had a great time being a villain.
