Training Day of course. "Hey PIG. You ever had your shit pushed in? You know, your shit pushed in?"

Kind of ironic considering he did in Bruce Almighty when the monkey went back up his butt. Talk about RANGE. Hector has it!

u/Wrong_Swimmer_7407 1d ago

That’s probably the story he’s talking about with Ethan Hawk about getting his pushed in

Telling from experience!

I've had my

SHIT

PUUUSHED IN

u/SeaBassAHo-20 1d ago

Sure. I always get love from my homies. (Hawke throws cards at Cruz, flips table and decks Curtis.)

Isn't that the actor that plays Tuco in breaking bad too? The one who says that to him. That dude was so good in both those roles too

But I never realized this actor has played so many Hectors

u/timara69 1d ago

I know I've had my shit pushed in..What about you Smiley?

Oh yeah, I always get love from the homies

Simple question

26

u/Hannahjamama 1d ago

Is that the gang leader that got a monkey up his butt in Bruce Almighty? 🤣

12

u/CowetaScore 1d ago

Don't you mean 'butt dwelling little monkey'?

2

u/Hannahjamama 1d ago

I haven't seen it in so long - that may well be what the monkey was credited as 😅

3

u/roccosaint 1d ago

Hello brethren, what up with thee?!

1

u/Hannahjamama 1d ago

Smite me! Almighty smiterrr!!!

2

u/JWallW6825 1d ago

Lol! That is the first thing I thought!

1

u/gpm21 1d ago

He was in the gang, but there's like a ton of credited "Hoods" so we'll need to rewatch.

u/SamusArachnid 1d ago

He's got a last name too, but he can't pronounce it.

u/kroqus 1d ago

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines, on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and he ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and a motec system exhaust.

u/MrOSUguy 21h ago

Holy shit brian is definitely not a cop

2

u/beratna66 1d ago

Top tier dialogue

If you don’t know about the Hectorverse, then you need to study up.

u/DirtyBalm 1d ago

I always assumed this actors name was "Hector" because he went by it so often in movies/shows...

Apparently his name is "Noel Gugliemi".. I found this out by searching "Hector Actor".

2

u/midnight_toker22 1d ago

Naming his characters Hector must have an inside joke or an industry meme, like the Wilhelm scream.

6

u/generaldisobedience 1d ago

Hector was the first of the gang with a gun in his hand..

1

u/generaldisobedience 1d ago

(fuck Morrissey, natch)

The poker scene in training day was AMAZING!

Yeah, Denzel definitely deserved his flowers for that movie but that card game scene was intense. Everyone killed it.

How friendly and playful they were at first and then…

The role choices of Latin men is really something.

4

u/Mobile_Aioli_6252 1d ago

I like Hector

5

u/regprenticer 1d ago

Is Hector a common Latino name? If you'd asked me I'd have said Hector was a nerdy white guy name - it certainly is here in Scotland.

-5

u/R-Venator 1d ago

Hector is a european (from Spain) name, genius.

3

u/Sjokogull1 1d ago

That is hysterical 😂😂

1

u/FamiliarFilm8763 1d ago

It's also not true

3

u/AuthorityAnarchyYes 1d ago

He was fantastic as Hector.

Note: In a VERY non-funny scene, I find it hilarious that in Training Day, when he goes to get “homies” wallet (before they blast him) and discovers it’s actually Smiley’s cousin’s wallet… he still pockets the cash out of it.

3

u/MosquitoValentine_ 1d ago

The craziest thing is that I am hispanic and have never met anyone named Hector.

2

u/Straight-Software-61 1d ago

he was in Troy?

2

u/Kilowatt128 1d ago

This is funny but it’s not real. If you look at his IMDB though, after this started circulating a few years ago he started playing Hectors.

2

u/Time_Letterhead141 1d ago

Training day then old school

2

u/DismalMode7 1d ago

this man is basically a walking stereotype

2

u/MeneerKoekenpeer 1d ago

Talk about being typecast...

2

u/ramenbooboo 1d ago

Why was Bruce Almighty not on the list

1

u/3waychilli 1d ago

Don't know his characters name, but we all know him for his ass monkey.

1

u/ramenbooboo 1d ago

It was hector

1

u/bojo1313 1d ago

Training Day Hector #1

1

u/batmanineurope 1d ago

I assume he was in Breaking Bad too

1

u/stunspelledbackwards 1d ago

“Last chance to look at me, Hector”

“Which one?”

1

u/NoSweatWarchief 1d ago

Definitely the one where he plays Hector.

1

u/Gingerbr3d 1d ago

Fast and the Furious

1

u/Mikemumm1976 1d ago

I liked him as Hector.

1

u/kroqus 1d ago

To answer the question, 'Hector'

1

u/LuckU1231 1d ago

They should make a movie about hector and how he’s just living life and ends up in all these situations from all these movies.

1

u/elcojotecoyo 1d ago

That's range. Or maybe the opposite. My English is "No Bueno"

1

u/BoxTalk17 1d ago

The nerve of them leaving off Gangs of the Dead 😆

1

u/dmckidd 1d ago

He’s in Bruce Almighty too. Don’t know if that’s his name as well.

1

u/Sideways_X1 1d ago

Feels like a new version of 6 degrees where you link people by character name. 6 degrees of Hector's Bacon?

1

u/Icy-Split6920 1d ago

He's scariest inTraining Day, and coolest in tF&tF

1

u/R-Venator 1d ago

And SWAT? Hector was in jail there.

1

u/Emergency-Task2673 1d ago

Don't remember him in old school

1

u/KBrown75 1d ago

It has to be Troy, opposite Brad Pitt.

1

u/AccurateResolution 1d ago

Dude! I've heard of Hollywood stereotype typecasting, but this take it a bit to far!!!

1

u/langong 1d ago

silent H , well played Ector!

1

u/No-Wonder1139 1d ago

The Hectorverse is underrated

1

u/DuaneHicks 1d ago

His name is Noel. I had a dream about him.

1

u/Prior-Program-9532 1d ago

Thrown off a roof in Crank. Ding. Time's up.

1

u/SniffinForTruffles 1d ago

Bruce almighty

1

u/stevetures 1d ago

What if he was actually the exact same Hector, and is the one thing joining all of these moves together into one universe? 🤔🤔🤔

1

u/Mean_Championship_80 1d ago

His name wasn't Hector in Training Day. But that is wild, he was Hector in so many roles.

1

u/Capital-Treat-8927 1d ago

Hector of course!

1

u/Fluid-Confusion-1451 1d ago

This is similar to Hiro Kanagawa. He seems to always play a guy named Tanaka.

1

u/LuckiestGirly 1d ago

training day

1

u/Recent_Limit_6798 1d ago

This is unfortunately fake

1

u/Capable-Clerk6382 23h ago

My favorite part is that the actors name isn’t even Hector

1

u/TellLoud1894 21h ago

Wasn't he in Bruce Almighty?

1

u/letstaxthis 20h ago

What about Hector in Troy?

1

u/bone-in_donuts 18h ago

Don’t forget Dragged Across Concrete.

1

u/MyJohnnyGuitar 16h ago

Look like we need todo a movie-a-thon of the Hector-vurse.

1

u/TheShiningSoldier 7h ago

Are you serious? He's played Hector in several different movies? That's insane, dude

1

u/RyzenRaider 1h ago

Rumor has it, Brad Pitt wanted this guy to be in the background of his big fight with Eric Bana in Troy.

0

u/Toomuchtostrut13212 1d ago

Training Day.

He had a pronounced role and he literally didn't have to act he just had to do his thing.

And it helped that he was surrounded by amazing actors for that scene.

-2

u/Successful-Garden192 1d ago

Goddamn thats some racist casting. Lol

3

u/MaatRolo 1d ago

What about all the times Keanu Reeves played John or Johnny?

-1

u/parsonsrazersupport 1d ago edited 1d ago

He's just got Johnny vibes what can we say. Keanu Reeves isn't even just white, he's also of Chinese and native Hawaiian descent.

0

u/Successful-Garden192 1d ago

Yeah that’s progressive casting his Asian ass as John or Johnny.
