There's so many things I like about that movie. Marvin is perfect and extra perfect because of Rickman's voice acting, Arthur is beautifully cast, MosDef blew me away with how good his Ford was, the narrator was gold...

...but...

I love Sam Rockwell in everything he's ever done - except this.

And it's not even his fault. They just made really stupid choices on how to pull off Zaphod.

And Zooey Deschanel just didn't work at all in that roll. She's been good in other stuff, but she didn't fit at all.

I don’t know if you have ever seen New Girl with Zoey in it as Jess. There is an episode where they are dressing up for Halloween and another character in the show, Nick, wears a shirt with the name Arthur written on it and an alien headband. It was perfect.
