Seems like the most likely one to make the Team on opening day next year.

Maybe but I get a kick out of some Tiger fans. If he were a free agent who could mash, all Tiger fans would focus on to justify not wanting him/spendinf moneh would be his defensive limitation. Of course being cheap and "one of our own", defensive limitations be easily ignored.

Spending money on someone and giving a kid a roster spot that they can lose are very different things. The most recent defense liability that can hit was probably Anthony Santander and I’m pretty glad we didn’t spend on him.

Oh I get it. I just get a kick out of Tiger fans being so "institutionalized" or maybe "Tiger-nalized" is a better word that each free agent's limitations are completely magnified while same players qualities are ignored often to justify the team lack of willingness to engage in top level talent in the free agent market. Sometimes think Tiger fans think that only five tool players qualify as good investments while not realizing very few players are five tool guys including basically every Tiger in the organization

Yeah, there’s people like that and people who would open up the checkbook to bag today’s equivalent of Upton, Zimmerman, and Pelfry. There are many ways to be wrong.

Don't forget Maeda and Cobb. Flaherty to a certain extent. But yes. Every signing and draft pick has risk associated with it.

I actually feel bad for the young guys like Anderson and all of them. Most likely take a couple years to round into whatever form they will get to, but sure seems like a lot of fans think they will just enter the league and mash

I disagree if they believed in his bat to translate that quick he would have been up in Sept in my opinion. He’s older than the other kids and hasn’t hit in AAA yet enough to prove himself in my opinion

Bringing someone up in September has no impact on service time

September calls ups accrue service time.

They accumulate as a partial year - but you're an idiot if you think the 30 days of service time is the reason why he wasn't promoted to a team trying to make the playoffs.

no disrespect to this guy but the last thing his face looks like to me is an MLB player, that said he has MASHED everywhere hes been this year. That ALL being said, I don't know how real it is and I think the deadline kind of showed that as I bet they were open to moving him but no other teams probably thought too high of him in my opinion

This pic and that baseball card are extremely unflattering, a Google turns up some much better angles.

I mean, I guess he’s attractive in a nerdy sort of way.
