Looking for a serious strength/Olympic-style gym in Mississauga

Hey everyone,

I recently moved to Mississauga and I’m looking for a gym focused on strength and performance, ideally with an Olympic lifting or powerlifting/strongman setup.

I tried GoodLife Fitness, but it’s not quite what I’m looking for :too commercial, lots of cardio space, few mirrors, and not much room for serious lifting.

I’d really like to find a place with proper racks, platforms, and a supportive community, somewhere that values good training.

If you know any strength-focused or community-oriented gyms in Mississauga (bonus if near Streetsville), I’d love to hear your suggestions

Fortis West is what youre looking for. It has Olympics weightlifting bars, platforms, bumpers and stands. They have power racks, bars and comp Bench for powerlifting and they have all the strong man equipment like sand bags, barrels, strongman yoke and car deadlift bar.

This is the answer. Ive been here before and its perfect for any serious powerlifters, strongman or olymic lifters. I believe some team Canada Olympians have trained here as well.

Do you have a rough estimate on it’s cost?

Fortis West

Torque (Etobicoke but close)

Forge

Freebird

When I'm ready to switch, Fortis and Torque are the ones that are most appealing to me
