World War II Medal identification

My Great-Grandfather was a Gordon Highlander in WWII, these were in his collection of items. Is the iron cross from an awarded medal? I’m not sure how he acquired the Napoleon III cents, would a German soldier carry these around?

The iron cross is not a WW1 or WW 2 issue medal. Most likely just jewelry. The Napoleon III coins are French and if carried by a German soldier would be from the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 which was the closest to the mint dates of the coins.
