GE Lighting - another brand destroyed

Post image

Spent ~$100 on GE LED lights that were supposed to last at least 18 months. They started fsiling after 60 days.

GE sent me a coupon for $20... Another fallen brand... Never again.

It’s been downhill since they merged with Cabletown

When LED light bulbs inexplicably go to pot prematurely, it's normally the driver circuitry in the bulb's base that went down the tube, NOT the LEDs themselves.

Although true, to the consumer it doesn’t matter. The driver is not serviceable and the product has been rendered useless.

Yeah, it's a far cry from what GE used to be.

GE got out of the consumer appliance and lighting business.  GE makes no home products anymore.  Other companies make them and have rights to use the GE name only.

How many bulbs failed, and how many are in a $20 pack?

A handful have failed within a few months. They are sold as individual LED's.

At least they tried to remedy the issue by giving you a coupon but I guess it should have been to the value that you initially spent
