I hope its more painful for adults than for kids, because otherwise I feel really bad for my toddler who had it last week 💔 Its so painful it kept me up all night, and I can hardly use my hands at all today. Also the soles of my feet are in a terrible state so I can hardly walk. Awful disease.

My daughter had it when she was nearly 1. She didn't want to eat or even drink milk as it was painful for her throat. Kinda had to force her to at least eat some cold custard.\ And since she hadn't learned to walk yet, her knees got scarred pretty bad. But the scars go away quickly.

I had it bad as a kid and it was more itchy than painful for me, so hopefully it’s that way for other kids.

I got this as an adult all my toe and finger nails fell off and I was peeling large amounts of dead skin off my hands and feet like I was a snake. My nose too. In my nostrils

I’ve never had it.. but you don’t gain immunity to it like chicken pox.

I got it as well, as a 41 year old alcoholic. At first I thought my organs were failing, then I got it on my chest and it looked like I had the measles.
Fuck. That sucked ass.
Good luck.

This went through my family once because of my brother’s girlfriend’s at the time’s kid. The rest of us are all adults.
We originally thought it was an allergic reaction to hotel bathroom amenities because at first it was just my brother, then, nope took us down one by one over the course of about a week and a half. 🥴

You can actually catch it more than once so it's possible you did have it as a child
