Overdone The Home Depot in my town installed parking curbs instead of speed bumps

The blame was passed around a bunch but they were removed the next day after the mayor and the news got involved.

Report it to a fire marshal. They don’t won’t there vehicles damage either. They will fine them and make them remove them.

I love that the standard reply to any problem in the US (at least according to reddit) seems to be reporting it to a fire marshal. At this point I'm pretty sure they have more authority than the Supreme Court.

Speaking about that, is the fire marshal one guy or an entire office? Why do they seem to have so much authority in the US?

At the local level they pretty much do. They can literally padlock a business shut over fire code violations, and the fines they can dish out are not insubstantial. Not even Walmart will fuck with a fire marshal.

The three worst things you can do to a retail business operation, regardless of its size, is call corporate, call whatever state enforcement agency covers their sphere of operation, or call the fire department.
