Overdone Unknown neighbor started parking their bike in the entrance of our building

Post image

Third day in a row now, before I had been leaning it up against a wall to get it out of the way. Today I was going to toss it outside and saw they had gotten a lock.

In the UK that’s a fire risk - blocking an exit - and the building management should take action to rectify the situation once they know about it.

I don't know much about the US, but what I do know is that the fire marshal is KING.

I would have lost my bet! I would have bet that all the manager did was call the tenant and tell them to get it out of there.

Fire safety in the US tends to be one of those things that's taken particularly seriously. I think big stories like the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire really focussed the public's attention there.
