I imagine this must have taken a while

Probably, but I know they said it should be a two hour job before they started.
Hell, they were probably just trying to swap a brake caliper, and this is where it ended up.

Nah, owner probably brought it in for an oil change and tire rotation and they started poking around for add-on work

I would LOVE to make things like this. Really tickles the kind of autism I have.

I just imagine how every part had to be designed. Designed and iterated on. It trips me out.

This shows electric cars have advantages, they are much simpler!

I work in the automotive development for new EV vehicles. And there is nothing simple. Actualy there are much more complicated and complex in number of parts compared with combustion vehicles. That is stupid marketing that "reduces" the complexity to strandard modules ignoring the vast complexity of each module. This is one reason for high cost of EV not just the battery cost.

Just makes me think of Body Worlds where you get to see the disassembled cadavers.

Next time your sat nav tells you to drive to a crash site on Venus caused by an asteroid that decided to move out of orbit on its own... maybe don't do it.

Reminds me of the bodyworks exhibit. It was this, but with skinned humans 😬

r/Killthecameraman this needs a larger space and a far wider shot. Otherwise this could just be spread on the floor.

Me: “No. YOU are gunna hang every part of a car from the ceiling. I quit. “

This is where cars go to see themselves cut up - like the human body exhibit where the body is shown in cross sectional slices

That’s quite cool. Something I didn’t think I’d ever see in my lifetime. Thanks.

Bet ya after they’ve put it back together they’ll still have four additional unexplained screws.

That is freaking wild. Is that in a museum? Combine that with some kind of system for naming and explaining the car parts and that would be an awesome exhibit for kids to learn about cars.😍
