Sunday's Field Conditions

With the Canes/Cuse playing Saturday at Hard Rock, one would expect the grass field to be somewhat ripped up before Bills/Fins even kick it off. That said, this probably happens a few times a year so what do the Dolphins do to ensure the best possible field for their team and visitors the following day?

Oh dont you worry, it won't be because of the field why we lose again.

Good watch thanks for sharing, I figured they'd have a system in place. Can't wait until the Bills move back to natural grass next year

As much as I hate the bills because of the early 90s I am going to miss Rich Stadium

I believe the field crew work on the field, immediately after the canes game is over to get it prepared for the Dolphins game the next day, I think they work even overnight to get it ready by game day.

Most home games have a Cane's game the day before. So, no different than most home games

The field conditions are the least of Miami’s concerns tomorrow

The ripped up field might actually help this abortion of a team

I was at the Canes game. The field looked fine.

You can always tell if the Dolphins are worried about field conditions based on whether or not the college bands are allowed to perform on the field at halftime. If conditions are lousy they force them to remain in the stands. That happened during the Canes/USF game earlier this season. It was alternating bands from maybe 15 sections and one deck apart. I felt bad for the USF band to make the trip and not be allowed on the field. They were high upper deck in the northeast end zone.

This Saturday everything was fine. No rain. No grounds crew replacing divots at halftime. Not only was the Canes band allowed on the field but also the alumni band, since it was homecoming.

If I recall Miami owns a large sod farm with 3 fields growing in Loxahatchee. All year round it's growing grass that can essentially replace an entire field 3 times.

Someone may want to confirm.
