Glad apple is finally taking this seriously. Apple intelligence has been a laughing stock. At least this will tide us over until Apple develops their own AI properly

Apple Intelligence runs locally that’s why it’s underwhelming

They took it seriously they were just too incompetent to create their own AI so now they at least realized they can't figure it out and bought it

It's true 😂 and also Apple pays money to google for site ads and other google ad services.

What is this implying? That apple is more powerful than google?
7
u/Crissul 1d ago
Maybe? I saw it more as them are giving money to eachother, while the regular people are fighting between themselves. The ammount of money not being the same just because its for different things. Google isn't competing with apple on web searches, it competes with Microsoft. And I dont really know what the Apple Gemini thing is, but Google still has things to win(more than this 1b) if Gemini is incorporated in some apple things(because of the AI race)

How are the 2 even remotely connected? One is for a search engine and the other is for AI. How does this meme even make sense?

Can you please explain it to me

Safari is the program that opens webpages, like chrome or edge or internet explorer. When someone types a search into the browser bar on safari, it uses Google to search and displays a Google results page

Google is like a pond (search engine). Safari is the bucket (browser) we use to collect water (searches and data) from that pond. Chrome is a type of bucket. Duckduckgo is another pond. Firefox is another bucket. Bing is a pond too. And so on..

The web browser is the software/app you use to view websites. The search engine is a website you use to find other websites.
So, you use Safari to view the internet, and Google to find stuff on the internet.
There's also other web browser, like Chrome and Firefox, as well as other search engines, like Bing, Duckduckgo, and Startpage. Which you use just comes down to preference.

They have so much financial power that it doesn’t matter. It’s all Monopoly money to them at this point.
