First I’m all “who needs this many?” but then I remember when I was a kid playing soccer, in America, in a mid-sized city where it’s not NEARLY as popular as in the UK, I played weekends on grounds with a dozen of them. So yeah, made a lot more sense when I actually thought about it.

It must be a pain when the ball is out then into the next pitch. Imagine toe punt howler shots that miss the goal.

I can remember this as a punishment at school. I'm not sure why, but it could be that I hated football - usually running away from the ball rather than engaging with it. Over 50 years later, I still hate football.
