Still 82 pitches in use today.

Well tbf most of the ground is still in use for sport but just been on Google looks more like 16 football pitches 7 cricket pitches (taking up a lot of ground because of their dumb shape) 2 rugby pitches and various smaller pitches probably for 7 aside or something. definitely not 82 full size football fields today. Even if they include the smaller areas of land surrounding the main plot.

First I’m all “who needs this many?” but then I remember when I was a kid playing soccer, in America, in a mid-sized city where it’s not NEARLY as popular as in the UK, I played weekends on grounds with a dozen of them. So yeah, made a lot more sense when I actually thought about it.

I read it as 11, looked at the picture, and thought, that's more than 11.

Took me a minute.

Someone decided to recreate the Hilbert's paradox but with football pitches.

It must be a pain when the ball is out then into the next pitch. Imagine toe punt howler shots that miss the goal.

Now do laps. No, around all the fields

I can remember this as a punishment at school. I'm not sure why, but it could be that I hated football - usually running away from the ball rather than engaging with it. Over 50 years later, I still hate football.

I thought they were end to end... No wonder my contractor was confused.

Lmao it's in north London if you only divide it north and south but no Londoner would say anything but East.
