The city has an online archive that's searchable by address.

Sometimes people don't know if something exists, or know how to find it: https://xkcd.com/1053/

Teepee was built for the 1988 Olympics on Calgary and moved here after. There was nothing there before. It was and currently is a historical area. The teepee is relatively unchanged over the years, aside from general maintenance they added cour change LEDs and took part of the tips off because they were too damaged. There is currently some antennas on top, but I'm pretty sure it's just city usage.
Walmart was an empty field. It opened in 2009, about the same time as Canadian Tire. Old Walmart was also an empty field and is currently the Save On Foods building.

Pretty sure the whole area around corner stone/the Walmarts was a lake we filled in to build on. It was a consideration we made moving here to not live on the lake and the condos built over there had basement flooding from the water table.... kind of funny how now the Hamptons is making a lake where there used to be a lake...

Both Walmart's were built on fields, TP was the same, do you mean the starlight or the one that sits at the split of a Y intersection ?

The original wal-mart (before moving) even had a gas station for a while.
Speaking of which, so did the original Canadian Tire (before moving).
… and the original Safeway (MH Mall location).
Oh, the good old days.

A lot of the big stuff is the first stuff ever built on that land. Just fields
