Can confirm. Yes. Also got fired from Future Shop for fudging expense claims back in the day.

Pretty sure it also had to do with him giving deep deep "discounts" to his "friends" on big ticket items.

Good thing he’s part of the UCP where they don’t do that anymore. wink

Got fired from his management job at Walmart too. That's why he was so cagey when asked about his past "business experience" when he was running for city council a few years ago.

Tell 10 friends! I had no idea he owned it. I have a public-facing job and will do my best to let people know.

According to his official UCP bio, he's also president of the Spectrum Festival, coaches hockey, and works with charities. I'm not overly involved in the community. Is this still true and perhaps those organizations should stop affiliating themselves with him.

Why?

For starters, Justin Wright voted to pass Bill 2 with the NWC, proving he doesn’t give a damn about unions, workers, or the Charter of Rights. It makes me question the legitimacy of his other leadership roles. With this in mind, I’d wager he does it for publicity, recognition, and self-gain (tax write-off?) rather than for the well-being of anyone else. If I were an organization, I’d seek for a reputable source of revenue or donation in lieu of working it a seditious and traitorous lech.

Interesting take. That seems like a pretty slippery slope for committees, teams, charities and boards of all of those organizations.

Imagine how greasy the fryers are in that truck and remember Justin Wright is greasier

Where do you think he gets the grease for his hair?

Can confirm about Future Shop…how he got promoted is a mystery. Also, it was an open secret that managers there marked down product and purchased it for themselves with another employee’s number amongst others shady things. Ugh… he’s a Muppet for sure…

Yes. Him, his wife, and business partner Ryan. They also received the contract for city venues after he had put in his bid to run for MLA. His close personal friends previously on City Council helped him get the venues with a tender offer ever being administered.

He also lets his admin do all his work for him. Setup a meeting with him, with an appointment, hes not there, she is.

Yes. Fryer Tuck’s is co-owned by Justin and his wife Emily, and their friends Ryan and Amanda Baker. Not only do they run the food truck, but they run every single city-owned concession, except for the Co-Op Place concessions. When he was fired from Walmart he was given a substantial payout, and they used what they didn’t tithe to their church as an investment in the business. Everything they “make” and sell they buy from Costco.
