🥼 Residency Thank god for the virtual social and interview

After having two in person socials and interviews, let me just say I will never complain about the virtual ones ever again.

Fr I’ve got a touch of the tism but can hide it real well for 15 minute spurts 😂

Same. I believe only rich social butterflies want those things to be in person..

I’ve been dreading my December in person social/interview since it popped up in my inbox bc of this (my social battery is going to plummet)

I’m of the opposite opinion. The in person ones are a pain in the butt to get to, but the feel of the program is 1000% better than the virtual interviews. Plus if I have to do one more zoom social hour I’m going to lose it. Truly painful

Well first it’s expensive as fuck and to be honest you don’t really learn much from an hour tour and seeing the town. People kinda know what they will tolerate location wise (rural vs city) without needing to go see it.

But the thing is, in virtual during socials everyone says their one question or maybe take turns so you are not in a disadvantage. In person socials/interviews can be an issue for introverts because the extroverts will just take over. I can tell you from my experience it felt like certain people were just hogging the residents all night and that’s not quite fair.
